Hastings High School Shooting Today: Reports and Official Updates Await Confirmation

Concerns surrounding a possible shooting at Hastings High School are prompting questions about campus safety. However, as of October 21, 2026, I could not verify a confirmed shooting at Hastings High School from the current information available.

Hastings High School is located at 1100 West 14th Street in Hastings, Nebraska. The school is part of Hastings Public Schools, which provides updates and announcements through its official district website.

A previous district notice addressed threatening social media content involving Hastings Middle School, including an alarming post referencing a school shooting. In that notice, school officials said they worked with the Hastings Police Department to identify the source of the post and stated that students and staff had not been in danger. That earlier notice does not establish that a shooting occurred today or confirm a new incident at Hastings High School.
