Mountlake Terrace High School Lockdown Today: Police Activity and Reported Shooting in Washington

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Washington — October 22, 2026 — Reports of police activity at Mountlake Terrace High School have raised concerns about a possible campus safety incident in Washington. However, the available information reviewed for this report does not confirm that a shooting occurred or establish whether the school was placed under lockdown.

Mountlake Terrace High School is a public high school in the Edmonds School District, located at 21801 44th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace. The school serves students in grades nine through twelve.

At the time of writing, no verified details were available to establish the nature of the reported police response, whether a weapon was involved, or whether anyone was injured. It also remains unclear whether students and staff were instructed to shelter in place or whether any restrictions on campus access were imposed.

The distinction is important because police activity near or on school grounds does not necessarily indicate that shots were fired. Reports of a shooting should not be treated as confirmed unless supported by official statements or reliable reporting.

Families and students seeking immediate updates should monitor announcements from the Edmonds School District, Mountlake Terrace High School, and local law enforcement. Anyone approaching the campus should follow instructions from authorities and avoid interfering with emergency responders.

The school district’s official website provides school information and contact details for families seeking clarification about campus operations.

As this report is based on limited confirmed information, additional details about the incident, including its cause and any potential impact on students, remain unavailable.
