Her passing has left a profound void in the lives of her husband, children, parents, friends, colleagues, and the many people whose lives she touched through her work in healthcare and education.

Born in the Yukon and raised in New Brunswick, Kerry-Anne built a life defined by compassion, dedication, and love for her family. It was in New Brunswick that she met her husband, Mike Hogan. Their relationship began with a breakfast date that unexpectedly turned into an entire day at Yoho Lake, where the couple spent hours talking and imagining a future together.

For Kerry-Anne, motherhood was her greatest joy. She had long dreamed of building a family with Mike and made it a priority to ensure her children always knew how deeply they were loved and wanted. She leaves behind three children, Emily, Ben, and Julia, whose lives were shaped by her devotion and unwavering love.

Professionally, Kerry-Anne dedicated herself to caring for others as a nurse, working in both emergency medicine and palliative care. Her work required strength and composure during medical crises, alongside the empathy and tenderness needed to comfort patients and families during life’s most difficult moments.

She also worked as a university professor, sharing her knowledge and passion with the next generation of healthcare professionals. Through both nursing and teaching, she made service to others a central part of her life.

Away from work, Kerry-Anne enjoyed quiet moments at home with her beloved pets, wearing comfortable pyjamas and fuzzy socks while playing Candy Crush. These simple pleasures reflected the warmth and personal happiness she found in everyday life.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; her children, Emily and her partner, Rémi; Ben and his partner, Charlotte; and Julia and her partner, Jon; as well as her parents, Gary and Franki Olson. She was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Kylie, and cat, Bogey.
